Plot summary

• The ambush and escape: The episode picks up immediately after the cliffhanger from the previous one, with Levi confronted by Kenny Ackerman. Levi and Kenny engage in a high-speed chase through the city, with Kenny's Anti-Personnel Control Squad using special 3D Maneuver Gear armed with guns instead of blades to hunt the Survey Corps. Despite their superior firepower, Levi manages to escape, though his team loses Eren and Historia to Kenny's forces.
• The emotional toll: The fight, which is against fellow humans, deeply affects the members of Levi's squad, especially Armin.
